Former Fannin County Deputy Pleads Guilty to Theft

A former Fannin County deputy has pleaded guilty to felony theft.  William Dykes was accused of stealing more than $15,000 in donations from the county’s  Adopt-A-Cop program. Dykes was sentenced three years probation and will be ordered to pay restitution. He will also have to surrender his license as a peace officer, as he was set to take office as Precinct 2 constable on January 1st.
