Former Grant Superintendent Indicted on Embezzlement Charges

The former Grant, Oklahoma School Superintendent has been indicted by a federal grand jury on 9 felony counts. Buck Hammers is accused of conspiracy, bank fraud and embezzlement in connection with the misdirection of federal funds for the district. He allegedly cashed in more than $50,000 in bogus checks over a six year period. Hammers is currently free on $50,000 bond. Former School District Treasurer Patricia Keeling committed suicide shortly after her suspension.
