Former Mt Pleasant Fugitive Captured

Monday, U.S. Marshals in Burbank, CA, captured Jory Worthen, 25, formerly from Mt Pleasant, want ed for the 2019 double murder in Camden, AR. They placed Worthen on the U.S. Marshals Service’s “15 Most Wanted” list in July. Camden authorities had charged him with the June 2019 killings of his then-girlfriend, Alyssa Cannon, 20, and her four-year-old son at Cannon’s home in Camden, where Worthen was living at the time. Officials arrested Worthen after a brief pursuit and booked him into the Los Angeles County Jail.
