Former NE Texas Teacher, Assistant Band Director Sentenced

A Cass County jury convicted a former Northeast Texas teacher on three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a six-year-old boy. The investigation began when the mother reported the assault to Atlanta Police. Reportedly, 32-year-old Kennie Lewis Cook, Jr., was a teacher and assistant band director at Mount Pleasant High School when he was arrested in February. He was sentenced to 80 years in prison.
