Former North Texas Priest Arrested For Sexually Assaulting A Child

Dallas Police have arrested a 78-year-old former priest for allegedly sexually assaulting a North Texas child in 1989.  Richard Thomas Brown had served at parishes in Irving, Rockwall, Plano, and Dallas. The diocese says Brown was removed from public duty in 1993 and stripped of his roles as a priest in 2002. He is the first priest to be arrested since authorities raided the offices of the Dallas Diocese last year.
