Forty-Year Sentence For East Texas Man Who Assaulted Officers

An East Texas man has been convicted of assaulting two Longview Police Officers while he was being arrested. Prosecutors say 34-year-old Jace Martin Laws of Longview punched, kicked, and wrestled with one of the officers, and grabbed another by the genitals. He was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
