Franklin County Deputies responded to a 911 call about a shooting Sunday morning at about 8:15 in the 600-block of Leftwich in Mount Vernon. Deputies located a 41-year-old man who a suspect shot, and he was flown to a Tyler hospital where he underwent emergency surgery and is reported to be in stable condition. Investigators identified the suspect as James Michael Jones, Hutchins, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. He’s considered armed and dangerous.
