Franklin County Woman Dies In Crash

State Troopers have identified the person killed in a collision on Hwy 37 North of Mt Vernon Tuesday morning as 66-year-year-old Judy Deal of Mt. Vernon. The preliminary report indicates that the driver of a pickup, 61-year-old John Ellis of Little River, veered into the opposing lane, and she was taking evasive action when the vehicles crashed. She died at the scene, and they hospitalized Ellis in critical condition.
