MFARC hosting free event – The Majors Field Amateur Radio Club (Greenville, Tx) is inviting the public to participate in the Amateur Radio Field Day, taking place this Saturday and Sunday at the Audie Murphy Museum. This annual event features Ham radio operators from around the US and Canada. The goal is to establish a reliable communications link in times of disaster. But, the event isn’t limited to licensed operators. Kids and adults of all ages are encouraged to take part in the event. There will be a ham radio station dedicated to the public…age 8 or 80…you will have a chance to talk to other Ham radio enthusiasts across the country, and possibly, across the world. Don’t miss your chance to experience the excitement of amateur radio, this Saturday starting at 1pm thru Sunday at 1pm…24 hours, non-stop, thru the night fun, this weekend (June 25th and 26th) at the Audie Murphy Museum, just East of Greenville along the I-30 access road.
