A spectator was escorted from Rupp Arena during the first half of Kentucky’s loss to South Carolina on Tuesday night after holding up a sign that said “Please go to Texas,” referring to speculation about Wildcats coach John Calipari being a candidate to coach the Longhorns.

In its first season in the Southland Conference, the Texas A&M University-Commerce women’s basketball team owns first place after a 65-62 win at Houston Christian on Thursday evening inside Sharp Gym. The Lions are back home on Saturday against Lamar at 2:00 pm for Alumni Day. After the game, members of the Lion women’s basketball program will sign autographs on the 2022-23 schedule poster.

The Texas A&M University-Commerce men’s basketball team fell 68-59 to the Houston Christian Huskies on Thursday night at the Sharp Gym. The Lions fall to 6-12 on the season overall and 2-2 in Southland Conference play. The Lions host Lamar on Saturday at 4:30 pm for Alumni Day. After the game, members of the Lion men’s basketball program will sign autographs on the 2022-23 schedule poster.
