Former San Francisco 49er Dana Stubblefield was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison Thursday. It was for raping a developmentally disabled woman who prosecutors said he lured to his home with the promise of a babysitting job.

The New York Giants’ Daniel Jones went non-stop for 80 yards and failed to get six. He tripped over his own feet at the Eagles 8-yard line last night against Philadelphia, and that was the second-longest non-touchdown run in Giant’s history. The Eagles won 22-21 over New York Thursday night.

Dallas takes on Washington while the Texans host the Green Bay Packer Sunday. Both start at noon.

HIGH SCHOOL
Due to multiple varsity football teams forced into quarantine in Sulphur Springs’ district, 8-5A has gone to a Zone Schedule. The three-zone games will determine the playoff competitors. Hopefully, 8-5A has more decisions to make and more football to be played, but this schedule will get the district through the next three weeks. Our zone consists of Corsicana, Greenville, North Forney, and Sulphur Springs. The top two teams in each zone advance to the playoffs. The JV and 9th-grade will follow the same schedule starting Oct 30 North Forney, Nov 6 Corsicana, both at Gerald Prim and Greenville Nov 13 at Greenville.
