Friday’s Sports

NFL

Okay, guys! Are you ready for this? We have at least eighteen wild hours of football this weekend. Try two division races, and five wild-card berths out of six still undecided. The league is about to finish an entire schedule on time, with a few postponements but not nearly the other major sports organizations’ disruptions in 2020. The focus in Week 17 will range from coast to coast. Miami, Baltimore, Cleveland, Tennessee, and Indianapolis are chasing postseason qualification in the AFC, while the Cardinals, Rams, Bears, Giants, Cowboys, and Washington seek NFC spots.

NCAA

Chattanooga has fired an offensive line coach following a social media post disparaging both Georgia and Stacey Abrams. In the tweet caught by screen grabs, Chris Malone posted his disgust on Twitter Tuesday night in the Senate race results. Someone deleted the Twitter account by Wednesday night.

Before Baylor’s game against Oklahoma Wednesday night, there was a moment of prayer at the Ferrell Center unlike any before. Baylor Head Coach Jerome Tang prayed at the event following the mob at the Capitol. Coach Tang felt like something needed to be said, so he led a prayer before tipoff. That prayer was for unity in this country. Coach Tang prayed,” We ask for wisdom and grace and mercy to be poured down in Washington, D.C. right now.”

HIGH SCHOOL
