Former Baltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram reached an agreement on a one-year deal worth up to $3 million with the Houston Texans. Ingram will join a Texans backfield led by starter David Johnson, who agreed to a restructured contract to remain with the team.

The No. 3 Texas A&M University-Commerce softball team heads west this weekend for two Lone Star Conference series, starting at Western New Mexico on Friday. A&M-Commerce is on a six-game winning streak with doubleheader sweeps of then-No. 16 Rogers State, Eastern New Mexico, and then-No. 17 West Texas A&M. The last five wins have been shutouts, and the Lions are on a program-record 33.1 inning scoreless streak.
The 11th-ranked and third-seeded Texas A&M University-Commerce women’s basketball team begins its run in the NCAA tournament on Friday at 5:00 pm after their runner-up finishes in the Lone Star Conference Tournament last weekend. The Lions will go head-to-head with the sixth-seeded Southern Nazarene University Crimson Storm.

The Texas A&M University-Texarkana Eagles took on Jarvis Christian again Thursday afternoon at George Dobson Field in Texarkana. The Eagles would take both games on the day with solid pitching performances from Jared Davis (SR/Houston, TX) in Game 1 and Trevor Stone (JR/Fort Worth, TX) in Game 2. The Eagles are now 6-0 against JCC this season. With the win, the Eagles improve to 13-7 on the year.
