The 2022 UIL Spirit State Championships will be Thursday through Saturday (Jan 13-15) at the Fort Worth Convention Center. It marks the fourth year that Spirit will be an official UIL contest.

The Marshall Mavericks are searching for their first district win two games into district play. They are hopeful the experience of playing in the Paris Tournament will help them earn some wins against district opponents. They find out Friday when they travel to Longview to face the Lobos. Thursday night, the Lady Lobos fell to Texas High 57-41 in a game moved from Tuesday because of COVID.
