GOP Criticized Over Electric Grid Improvements

State lawmakers are still working on a couple of bills that would reorganize ERCOT and ensure winterizing the Texas power grid. TSN’s Chris Fox says Republicans received criticism for not moving quickly enough to prevent another disaster like the one that unfolded during the winter storms in February. Texas ratepayers likely would have to shoulder some of the cost for the upgrades, but some federal dollars could also be available.
