Governor Greg Abbott Loosens Some COVID-19 Restrictions 

The Governor issued Executive Orders expanding occupancy levels to 75% for restaurants, retail stores, office buildings, manufacturing facilities, gyms, exercise facilities, classes, museums, and libraries. He also announced re-authorizing elective surgeries for a majority of the state of Texas. Additionally, the Governor said that visitation could resume September 24 at nursing homes and long-term care facilities. Governor Abbott says bars will remain closed indefinitely.
