Greenville Child Killed In Crash

Greenville Police received a report of an accident involving a pedestrian Thursday in the 1400-block of Lee Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a cargo truck struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian, who was attempting to cross the roadway while walking on the railroad tracks, was killed. The pedestrian was 12 years old. An accident investigator was contacted to investigate the accident scene. No further information is available at this time.
