Longview Police arrested 54-year-old Gregg County Precinct 2 Constable William Mayo Fort of Longview for Misdemeanor DWI. They set his bond at $5,000 a few hours after his arrest. Fort reportedly admitted to taking a Xanax and an unknown muscle relaxer prior the operating his patrol unit. Additionally, he allegedly failed three sobriety tests. Court documents show that they charged Fort with threatening an officer.
