Halsey And Kelsea Ballerini CMT Crossroads In Today’s Nashville Roundup

ABC says Halsey and Kelsea Ballerini are doing a CMT Crossroads special. They will tape the special on October 11th in Nashville. The episode will air sometime in early 2020.

Halsey says “The first stage Kelsea and I ever shared together was a 3-foot karaoke dance floor right in Nashville. We’ve sung together in my living room, in her kitchen, in the back seat of cars, in drive-through lines late at night. And this time we get to get on a real stage…and do the thing we love the most in front of a city that is so dear to both of us.”

Blake Shelton wished Gwen Stefani a happy 50th birthday yesterday with the following post. ”Happy Birthday @gwenstefani!!!! I love you so much it’s actually stupid… And possibly illegal in the state of California.”

Jason Aldean tells the Dallas Observer that he is still close with his high school friends. ”Man, I had a great time in high school. I played sports and went to a smaller school. I had some really cool friends that I still keep in touch with. My high school years were fun, probably because I didn’t take it too seriously [laughs].”

Keith Urban tells the Herald-Tribune that he currently has the same feelings for Nicole Kidman as he had when they first met. “Well, first of all she’s my favorite person to be around. I love, love, love her company. I love every part of her company. That’s really the first thing. I want to be around her all the time, talk to her and listen to her. We’re just very, very simpatico as personalities, the two of us. I think that’s key. I loved being around her when I first met her and doing every and anything with her when I first met her. And that hasn’t changed. That feels exactly the same as it did the first week we started going out.”

Lady Antebellum lead singer Hillary Scott tells Las Vegas Weekly that she remembers the first time she got together with Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood. “When we wrote together for the first time, there was just a really natural, organic connection, and then our voices. We put them together and harmonized together … that blend, it either works or it really doesn’t. You just never know. We were just putting out vocals down like we don’t know where the song is going to end up, but when we listened back we were like, ‘Man!’ And then with Charles and my voice kind of trading off lead vocal, and then Dave harmonizing on the low end, it just worked.”

Jason Aldean tells WDRQ that he may return the new Mercedes-Benz AMG GT that he recently bought. “It’s flat gray, it’s pretty bad. I may actually return it next week. I’ve been feeling guilty ever since I bought it.”

Brantley Gilbert tells Billboard magazine that his faith comes before everything else in his life. “We’ve always had spiritual songs on all of our records. I feel like if these records are chapters of my life, and I’m giving you the good, the bad, and the ugly if I left my faith and the spiritual side out of them, I’d be a complete liar. I think that would be selling everybody short. That’s been the most powerful and truest thing in my life is my faith.”
