Happy Thursday Everyone!

Pittsburg CofC 1

Verizon iPhone workshop is today, Thursday (May 12) starting at 6:15 pm until 7:00 pm. We will have refreshments and accessory discounts for all attendees. If you could use this workshop, please come. Look forward to seeing you there.

Pittsburg Child Nutrition Department is hosting their Fourth Annual BBQ & Bake Sale Saturday (May 14) from 11:00 until 2:00 pm at Smith Furniture’s parking lot.

The Pittsburg Farmers Market will start this week and run through August. It is every Saturday through August 27 from 8:00 am until noon at the Texas Country Farm Supply located at 409 S. Greer.

Camp Habitat finished rehabbing the property donated to us by Wells Fargo. We would like to invite all of our donors, supporters, and volunteers to join us Tuesday (May 17) in a celebration of the community effort that is helping us raise the funds to start building a new home for a local family. We will cook up hamburgers on the grill with all the fixings. Join us and celebrate the rebuilding of Habitat for Humanity in Pittsburg. The house is about ten miles east on FM 993 on the left. Following the party at 5:30 pm is a short board meeting. Bring a lawn chair! Please join us as we show our gratitude to you, the people of Pittsburg, and our Lord Jesus Christ, who makes everything possible. For more information call Linda Baxter, Executive Director at 903-767-2306.

The Camp County Republicans’ regular monthly meeting on Saturday (May 21) at the Pizza Inn on Hwy 271 North. The meeting begins at 9:00 a.m. Come a little early if you wish to enjoy a light breakfast. Our members who attended the GOP State Convention in Dallas this week will report on what happened. Candidates on the ballot in the May 24 runoff election will attend the meeting to answer any questions or discuss issues or concerns you have.

We are in the planning stages of this year’s Pioneer Days. We are adding a lot this year to make it better, and that means we will need more volunteers than ever before. If you would like to help grow this into one of the major events in North East Texas, please contact Allen at the Chamber office 903-856-3442.

Have a Great weekend!
