National Senior Health & Fitness Day®
Local Organization Takes Part in National Wellness Event to Promote Healthy Lifestyles for Older Adults 2018 Event Theme: “Active Today…Healthier Tomorrow!”
Mt. Pleasant, TX — Titus Regional Medical Center will join an estimated 1,000 local groups to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of National Senior Health & Fitness Day® (NSHFD) on Wednesday (May 30). As an official event site, TRMC will hold a Senior Health Day Expo on May 30.
On this day, TRMC will join an estimated 100,000 older adults across the country participating in local activities to help promote active, healthy lifestyles through physical activity, proper nutrition, and preventive care.
According to Terry Scoggin, CEO, “Our Senior Health Day Expo is a wonderful opportunity for seniors to make, renew, and revitalize their commitment to live healthier lives through better health and fitness.”
The Senior Health and Fitness Expo will be at the Mount Pleasant Civic Center on May 30 from 8:00 am to noon. The event will offer seminars from area physicians, cooking demonstrations, fitness classes/demonstrations, and health screenings. Admission and activities will be free of charge to participants!
