Heavy Rainfall Closes Roads Around Paris

An estimated 2 – 4 inches of rain in the area early Monday morning caused numerous instances of flooding of roads and some people awoke to find their homes flooded. TxDOT in Paris reported that parts of Hwy 271 between Paris and Pattonville were closed at various locations because of high water. There was major flooding along Loop 286 near the Campbell Soup plant.
