High School Baseball Plus Beltre Injured As Rangers Lose

The Prairiland Patriots finished their regular season with a 6-1 win over Winnsboro Tuesday night.

The Paris Wildcats lost to Pittsburg 8-3. Despite the loss, Paris clinched third in the district thanks in part to NL beating Liberty Eylau 10-0. Zeke Wood pitched a complete game one-hitter. He also struck out 12 in the win.

The NL Pantherettes are one day away from starting their playoff run. North Lamar lost last year in the regional quarterfinals to Rusk. They are hoping this year has a better turnout. Remember you can hear all of the Pantherettes softball playoffs on Mix 107.7 beginning tomorrow at 7:00 pm.

In golf, North Lamar sophomore Jackson Nottingham placed second overall at regionals and is headed to the 4A state tournament May 14 & 15.

In Arlington last night Texas lost another game as they fall to Oakland 3-2. More injuries for the Rangers as Adrian Beltre strained his left hamstring on an RBI single in the 8th inning. He will be re-evaluated today.  Those two teams will finish their series tonight on 1490 AM and 96.3 FM KPLT. Pregame at 6:30 and first pitch at 7:05.
