High School Basketball And Baseball In Today’s Sports Update

That was North Lamar softball head coach Ashley Endsley after the Pantherettes defeated Celina last night 14-3 in five innings. North Lamar hit six home runs in the game. Ashlyn Reavis and Karsyn Iltis each hit two. McKenzie Dickson and Hannah Kent had the other homers.

Also In softball last night, the Chisum Lady Mustangs defeated Collinsville 12-3. Chisum had 19 hits in the win. Brylea Marshall had 4 of them with 3 RBI in the win.

In baseball last night the Paris Wildcats defeated Commerce 13-0. Matthew Scott threw a one-hitter in the win.

The North Lamar Panthers fell in Sulphur Springs 3-1. Cade Conway finished with 2 hits and scored the lone Panther run.

The Rivercrest Rebels lost to Mt Vernon 12-10.

Also on Monday the PJC Dragons took down North Lake College 7-0.

Tonight on the hardwood the Paris Wildcats will try to get back to the regional tournament when they play Henderson in Wills Point. That game will be on 101.9 KBUS at 7:30 pm.

Also tonight, the Rivercrest Rebels will play Martins Mill at 7:00 pm In Greenville.

The Dallas Renegades announces quarterback Landry Jones will miss at least two weeks after re-injuring his knee in Sunday’s loss to Houston.

And the Dallas Mavericks fell to Chicago 109-107. Luka Doncic finished with 23 points for Dallas.

Baylor 64 – West Virginia 39

No. 2 ranked Baylor clinched a share of its tenth consecutive Big 12 regular-season women’s championship with a 64-39 victory over West Virginia on Monday night. Baylor also cemented the top seed in the conference tournament and won its 56th straight regular-season game at the conference. The Lady Bears can clinch the title outright with a win Saturday or with a loss by second-place TCU to Texas on Wednesday.


LeTourneau men’s basketball team won the ASC conference tournament last weekend. They now play in the NCAA DIII Tournament against Whitworth in Dallas at 5:00 pm this coming weekend.


Tuesday (Mar 3) NTCC Eagle’s baseball start time is 4:00 pm. It is a doubleheader.




Winnsboro ISD will close Thursday and Friday (Mar 5-6), allowing fans to support the Lady Raiders as they compete in the state tournament! Winnsboro (29-7) takes on Woodville (35-4) at 3:00 pm Thursday in San Antonio’s Alamodome. They will reschedule all campus activities after the time off. If Winnsboro wins, the next game would be Saturday morning at 10:00 against Shallowater (37-2) or Schulenburg (34-4) winner.
