The NBA Board of Governors approved expanding active rosters to 15 from 13 players on game days. The expanded active rosters will give teams extra players that can suit up for games, with positive coronavirus cases likely to impact the league this season. Under NBA rules, clubs can carry up to 17 players on their full rosters, including two players under two-way contracts with the G League.

The Big 12 started with a bang. Ochai Agbaji made the go-ahead layup with 13 seconds left and finished with 23 points as No. 5 Kansas beat No. 14 Texas Tech 58-57 on Thursday night, giving the Jayhawks a win in their conference opener for the 30th season in a row.

On Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys will host the San Francisco 49ers at noon. The game was initially set for Sunday night but flexed out of prime time. The Cowboys at 4-9 still have a small window to make the playoffs.
