High School Basketball Plus Brady Gets 7th Ring In Today’s Sports Update

That was Paris High Wildcat Garrius Savage after Friday’s 74-20 victory over North Lamar. Micah Jenkins led the Wildcats with 21 points while Savage added 16. Paris will have a rematch with Pleasant Grove for first place in the district on Tuesday night.

Also, on Friday night, the Paris Lady Cats defeated the North Lamar Pantherettes 52-50. Nya Williams scored the game-winner for Paris with 4 seconds left in the game.

The Chisum Mustangs clinched a playoff spot with their 77-45 victory over Lone Oak. The Lady Mustangs lost to Lone Oak 69-45.

The Prairiland Lady Patriots lost to Edgewood 72-36. The Rivercrest Lady Rebels defeated Maud 29-26 to secure the final playoff spot in the district. Anna Duvall finished with 8 points for Rivercrest.

Bi-District playoffs start this week. Rivercrest will play Alba-Golden Thursday at 7:30 in Sulphur Springs. Cooper and Detroit will play each other at Paris High at 8:00 pm on Thursday. At 6:00 pm from Paris High, Prairiland and Pottsboro will play each other.

North Lamar will play Bullard. They are still waiting on the finalization of the location.
