The Chisum Lady Mustangs defeated Rivercrest tonight 56 – 27.
The Paris Lady Cats defeated Mt Pleasant on the road 46-31.
Some changes in the College Football Poll from last night, as Alabama is No. 1, Clemson No. 2, Notre Dame is 3rd, Georgia is now 4th, Oklahoma is 5th and Ohio State moved up to 6th. Michigan dropped to 7th, UCF is 8th, Florida 9th and LSU is 10th.
Former San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster was claimed off waivers by the Washington Redskins, who made a point of saying he won’t play for the team unless he clears certain hurdles. The Niners said they were releasing Foster on Sunday, after he was arrested late Saturday night at the team hotel in Tampa, Florida, on a charge of misdemeanor domestic violence. It remains to be seen if the league will suspend Foster for his latest transgression.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston has reached a settlement with the woman known as “Kate P” who said he groped her in her Uber vehicle. The documents, filed by her attorney John Clune in U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona on Monday, state that the “parties are in the process of finalizing a settlement agreement” and that the process will be completed in approximately 10 days. The woman alleged that in March of 2016, while waiting in a drive-thru at Los Betos restaurant in Scottsdale, Arizona, Winston “leaned toward [her] and placed his fingers between her legs and pressed them firmly against her over her yoga pants.”
