High School Football And Volleyball Plus Cowboys Continue Free Fall In Today’s Sports

In volleyball Friday, the North Lamar Pantherettes defeated Pittsburg in three sets while Paris lost a close game to Pleasant Grove in 5. Those two teams finished 5-5 in the district and will play tonight at 6:00 pm to determine playoff seeding. The game will be at Chisum high school.
Detroit lost to Maud on Friday in five sets. They will play Rivercrest at home on Tuesday to determine who gets 2nd and 3rd seed in the district, and on Saturday, the Prairiland Lady Patriots lost to Rains in three sets. Prairiland will enter the playoffs as the No. 2 seed.

Washington’s defense finally clamped down on a struggling opponent, piling up six sacks, an interception, and a forced fumble that became a safety in a 25-3 blowout of the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday that snapped a five-game skid. Andy Dalton was 9 of 19 for 75 yards before being injured and walking off under his power to undergo a concussion evaluation.

And the Dodgers are one win away from winning the World Series after a 4-2 win last night. They lead the series 3-2. Game six is on Tuesday night.
