Chisum is now 2-0 in the district after they defeated Red Water 27-22. Zaquavious Price had 23 carries for 123 yards and 2 TDs, and Tristin Preston also had a score for the Mustangs.
Rivercrest defeated Celeste 31-20 on the road. Will Grider had three passing touchdowns for the Rebels. All of them to Zachariah Lane.
It was Wolfe City over Honey Grove 13-6.
On the volleyball court, the North Lamar Pantherettes swept Paris High. Both teams are 2-2 in district play. Prairiland moved to 8-0 in the district after a four-set win over Edgewood Friday night.
The Dallas Cowboys scored 24 points in less than nine minutes in the fourth quarter on Sunday afternoon, and they still lost by 11 points. Dallas trailed 41-14 after three quarters. They made it interesting by cutting the lead down to 3 but Odell Beckham Jr. Put the game away with a 50-yard score. Dallas is now 1-3 under new head coach Mike McCarthy and will host the Giants this Sunday.
The Miami Heat are back in the NBA finals after a 115-104 win in game three. LA still leads the series two games to one.
And the MLB division series gets underway today with a pair of games. Houston and Oakland play while Tampa and the Yankees get their series going as well.
