High School Softball Results Plus Cowboys Take Boise State LB In 1st Round

In bi-district playoff softball last night, Rivercrest defeated Maud 9-4 in their one-game series.
Prairiland lost to Redwater in game one of their series 9-7. The Lady Patriots were down 9-0 going into the sixth inning. They managed to score three runs in the sixth and four more in the seventh but the comeback fell short there. Game two of that series is tonight at 6:00 pm at Pine Tree High School
And in a game heard on Mix 107.7, the North Lamar Pantherettes defeated Brownsboro in game one of their series 11-1 in five innings. North Lamar finished with 17 hits. Eight of those went for extra bases including a three-run homer by Jaycie Hall that was part of a seven-run fourth inning. Game two of the series will be tonight at 7:00 pm on Mix 107.7. Pregame at 6:45.
Last night in Bi-District softball action the Mt Pleasant Lady Tigers shutout Mesquite Poteet 3-0 in game one of their three-game series. Avery Ayers was masterful in the circle, pitching a complete game. Game 2 tonight is at 5:30 with Game 3 if necessary, following Game 2 on KLAKE 97.7.

The Mt Vernon Lady Tigers fell to Hooks 8-7 in game one of their best of three series. Game 2 is tonight at 6:00 pm on STAR 969. Game 3, if necessary would be Saturday at noon on KLAKE 97.7.

Tonight district champs Hughes Springs will face the Cooper Dogettes in a one-game series at NTCC. First pitch scheduled for 8:00 pm on STAR 96.9.
