The Hughes Springs Lady Mustangs will face Rains in a best of three semi-final series starting Thursday at 6:00 pm. Game 2 will be Friday at 6:00 pm, with Game 3 Saturday at 2:00 pm, if necessary. All games will be played at Whitehouse, and broadcast on STAR 96.9 and east texasradio.com.
In baseball, the Rivercrest Rebels will take on Linden-Kildare in the quarter-final round. Game 1 and 2 will be Friday night at NTCC in Mt Pleasant beginning at 5:00 pm. Game 3, if necessary, will be Saturday at 7:00 pm also at NTCC.
Union Hill has also made it to the next round in the baseball Regional semi-finals. They will play LaRue LaPoyer at Grand Saline. Game 1 is Thursday at 5:00 pm, Game 2 is Friday at 5:30 pm, with Game 3 to follow, if necessary.

The Texas A&M University-Commerce track and field programs will have 23 entries competing at next week’s NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships, with 14 men’s entries and nine women’s entries.
The championships will be held May 23-25 at Texas A&M-Kingsville’s Javelina Stadium.
Clutch relief pitching and timely hitting down the stretch carried the RoughRiders to a 5-4 win over Corpus Christi in 10 innings Tuesday night at Whataburger Field. Christian Lopes and Juremi Profar contributed two-out RBI singles in the 10th to put the Riders ahead for good. Reliever Peter Fairbanks worked out of a jam in the eighth, striking out consecutive hitters to escape a bases-loaded, one-out jam and keep the game tied. Fairbanks retired all five batters he faced, striking out four, to earn the win.
The NBA draft lottery fell to the New Orleans Pelicans as they will have the first pick. Dallas fell to ninth so they will forfeit that pick to the Atlanta Hawks due to the Luka Doncic/Trae Young trade last year.

Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Tyrone Crawford was charged with a misdemeanor count of unlawful assembly stemming from an incident in March at a bar in Panama City Beach, Florida. According to online records, Crawford was charged via summons on March 27 and pleaded not guilty on April 12. The incident took place on March 15, according to a complaint affidavit. TMZ published a video that shows Crawford fighting with members of the security staff at Coyote Ugly Saloon.
Free-agent defensive end Dion Jordan told NFL.com that he is facing 10-game suspension from the NFL for taking Adderall, a violation of the league’s policy against performance-enhancing drugs. Jordan, who has been suspended three times in the past, including for an entire season, told NFL.com that he had a therapeutic use exemption to use the drug in the past, but it had expired. His past suspensions were for violations of the substance abuse (twice) and PED policies.
