Sports Report for Tuesday, October 20
The final week of volleyball in the RRV and playoff positioning still up for grabs. Sports brought to you by RENO TIRE AND SERVICE CENTER.
Last night Rivercrest defeated Clarksville in three straight sets. Currently, they have a 6-2 district record, as does Detroit. The Lady Eagles take on Sulphur Bluff tonight while Rivercrest plays Linden Kildare.
Currently, tied in the district are Prairiland and Rains. Chisum sits in 5th place behind Edgewood and Commerce. Chisum will look to keep their playoff hopes alive tonight as they play Prairiland on the road.
It’s currently Gilmer, Pleasant Grove, North Lamar, and then Paris in the district standings. The Pantherettes have a one-game lead over Paris by a head to head meeting, but The Lady Cats will have a chance to pull even tonight when they face each other at North Lamar.
This Friday night on 101.9 KBUS, the París Wildcats will travel to Kaufman for a district matchup. While on Mix 107.7, the North Lamar Panthers will host Pittsburg. Both games kickoff at 7:30 with a 7:00 pm pregame.
