Homeless Man Charged With Burglaries

An East Texas homeless man has been arrested for burglarizing a Longview church and another building. Jeff Edward Sopko, 61, is accused of walking into the First Methodist Church through an unlocked door and stealing a sack of food. He’s also accused of taking about $400 cash and a key ring from one of the suites in an office building. His bond was set at $15,000.
