Hopkins County Deputies arrested 36-year-old Robert Earl Hawkins, Jr., on a warrant for Burglary of a Habitation. They also charged him with a misdemeanor. His bonds are $50,000 for the burglary charge and $1,000 for the misdemeanor.

Deputies arrested a 33-year-old Cumby woman following a traffic stop for a defective tail-light. The deputy detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and turned up eight mason jars and a bag containing suspected marijuana. They charged Shantel Jane Lewis-Charland for Possession of more than four ounces but less than five pounds of marijuana.
