Richie Wayne Porter

Hopkins County Deputies went to a residence on FM 71 to serve a warrant and attempted to contact 49-year-old Richie Wayne Porter, who then fled from the deputies. Deputies gave chase and tried to tase him but were unsuccessful. They eventually took Porter into custody. Subsequent investigation led to the recovery of a metal box containing meth, and while they were booking him, they found a loaded syringe. The total amount of meth amounted to 4.8 grams. Porter was charged with violation of parole, evading, tampering with evidence, and possession of more than four but less than 200 grams of a controlled substance. Because of the parole charge, he is not eligible for a bond.

Hopkins County Deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and arrested a 43-year-old woman for Surety off Bond. Jenny LaCreshia was taken into custody and transported to the Hopkins County Jail, where her bond is $10,000.
