A judge set bond for the Dallas woman accused of phoning in a bomb threat to the Sulphur Springs Elementary School. Morgan Rechelle Durrett, 36, remains in Hopkins County on a $100,000 bond. It is still unknown what connection Durrett has with any student, teacher, or staff member at the elementary school.
A Hopkins County Deputy pulled a Houston man over on I-30 for speeding and became suspicious of the driver’s travel plans. Manuel Ixtos permitted the deputy to search his vehicle, and he located a rolled-up dollar bill containing suspected cocaine. The deputies arrested Ixtos for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
