Guess what time it is? It’s time to turn in your T-shirt designs for the 48th Annual Stew Contest! The Chamber is accepting submitted designs from Monday (Jul 17) through Monday (Jul 31). The Chamber Board of Directors will vote on submitted entries, and they will announce the winner Thursday (Aug 10). If your design wins the T-shirt contest, all shirts, hoodies, and marketing for the 48th Annual Stew Contest, will have your design on it! Email your designs to Lezley@HopkinsChamber.org. We can’t wait to see the entries!

 

Sulphur Springs Public Library presents their Summer Reading Program for June and July

The Sulphur Springs Library is hosting a summer reading program called Knights and Princesses Summer Reading Program 2017. Every Tuesday at 3:00 pm, they offer multiplayer Minecraft. Storytime for all ages is on Tuesday (Jul 25) at 10:30 am. They will also have Storytime for the Ages on Thursday (Jul 20) at 6:00 pm.

 

Hopkins County Fire Department hosts a “Push-in” Ceremony for new Fire Truck on Friday (Jul 21)

Make plans to attend the Hopkins County Fire Department’s Fire Truck “Push-in” Ceremony this Friday (Jul 21) at noon, as they officially put the brand new County fire truck into service. The Hopkins County Fire Department is at 1286 Texas Street in Sulphur Springs. This ceremony is a wonderful tradition and an event everyone is welcomed to participate in on that day. Hunt County Regional is offering July Mobile Mammography Coach in Sulphur Springs

Hunt County Regional Hospital is offering the Tubby Adkisson Memorial Mobile Mammography Coach on Thursday (Jul 27) in the Spring Village Shopping Center in Sulphur Springs. All insurances accepted at Hunt Regional work for the Mobile Mammography Coach, including Medicare and Medicaid. They can also help with payment resources for uninsured/income-eligible women or those who choose to pay cash. They request appointments and pre-registration.

Texas AgriLife Extension Office is offering a Summer Sewing Workshop on Tuesday through Thursday (Aug 15-17). The classes are at Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office, 1200-B W. Houston Street, Sulphur Springs, from 9:00 am to 2:30-ish pm. The cost is $15, payable at the door. The class will include T-shirt, quilt instruction, basic sewing instruction, and simple make-and-take projects.
