Hopkins County Coronavirus Update 10.12.20

The Texas Department of State Health Services reported another death from COVID 19, making the 20^th fatality from the virus in Hopkins County. DSHS says the number could grow significantly as more official death certificates are turned in.  The county reported Monday there were 32 new COVID dases and only 5 recoveries. There have now been 444 cumulative cases in Hopkins County and 325 patients listed as recovered.  There are now 119 active cases and 5 patients  are hospitalized in the COVID unit at CHRISTUS Mother Frances-Sulphur Springs.
