Hopkins County Courthouse BAsement Floods

Hopkins County Jail inmates spent Monday mopping and cleaning up the basement of the courthouse, after it flooded during the weekend storms.  It was the first flooding at the courthouse since new underground pumps and a generator were installed.  The generator for some reason failed when the downtown area lost power, but is being repaired. Water damage was described as relatively minor. There was no sign of leakage from the roof.
