Hopkins County Judge Robert Newsom reported Thursday afternoon that there were 7 new cases of COVID 19 in the county. There were also 14 new recoveries. There have been a total of 212 positives since testing began in March, and a total of 160 recoveries. There are currently 52 active cases. There are 7 patients in the COVID unit at Christus Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs.
