Early voting continues and turnout has been described in Sulphur Springs as unusually high. Several hundred cast republican ballots as opposed to just a few dozen voting on the democrat ticket. There were some complaints about violations of state election laws, which prohibit electioneering and campaigning too close to a polling place. Since the voting is on SSISD administration building, the district took steps to make sure signs were all in compliance. It is also illegal to wear shirts or hats for or against any candidate.
