Hopkins County Election Results

In Hopkins County Republican primary results:

For Hopkins County Court at Law – The winner was Clay Harrison with 90% of the vote. There is no Democratic candidate in November.

For Hopkins County Clerk – the winner was Tracy Orr Smith with 59% of the vote. No Democratic candidate in November.

For Hopkins County Treasurer – Andrea Griggs had 39% of the vote, Danny Davis had 32% and incumbent Jim Thompson had 30% of the vote. There will be a run-off between Griggs and Davis.

For Hopkins County Commissioner Pct 2 – Gregg Anglin had 41%, Edward Moore had 31% and John Wilburn had 26%. There will be a run-off between Anglin and Moore.

For Hopkins County Commissioner Pct 4 – Joe Price was the winner with 55% of the vote.

Incumbent State Senator for District 2 Bob Hall defeated Cindy Burkett and will face Democrat Kendall Scudder of Sulphur Springs in November. State Representative Dan Flynn defeated challenger Bryan Slaton  and will face Democrat Bill Brannon of Sulphur Springs in November.–
