Hopkins County Files For Exemption To Abbott’s Mask Requirement

Hopkins County Judge Robert Newsom reported  that the Emergency Management staff had 26 recoveries of COVID-19 patients and  county residents would be required to wear facemasks in public places.  After  Governor Abbott’s order  was issued, Hopkins County officials discovered six more recoveries bringing the total down to 20. This makes the county eligible for the exemption from the Governor’s latest declaration.
