A SWAT team arrested a 54-year-old Pickton man Sunday night after they suspected him of being suicidal. Another man had visited him and attempted to alleviate the situation. He was then shot in the chest by the suspect with non-life-threatening injuries.
William Shawn Bloyed was arrested in Hopkins County Wednesday for Aggravated Assault of a date, family, or household member with a deadly weapon. Officials released no other information.
Hopkins County arrested Todd Michal Parker for Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of fewer than five pounds of Marijuana. Additionally, Todd Michael Parker, Jr., was arrested for Tampering with or Fabricating Evidence and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Both men remain in the Hopkins County Jail.
