Hopkins County Junior Market Livestock Show and Sale

The Hopkins County Junior Market Livestock Show and Sale gets underway this Thursday in the Civic Center Rodeo Arena.  Students from almost all of the Hopkins County schools will be participating along with their animals. It will be a great turnout this year. Here are the numbers for the FFA and 4-H projects for this year’s show.

Swine – 78 FFA/4-H youth and 108 swine validated

Lambs – 36 FFA/4-H youth and 43 lambs validated

Goats – 44 FFA/4-H youth and 47 goats validated

Chickens – 68 FFA/4-H youth and 68 pens of chickens validated

Steers – 31 FFA/4-H youth and 34 steers validated

Total – 257 youth and 300 projects validated
