They are accepting hay samples through Friday, September 29, from Hopkins and Rains County farmers and ranchers who want to learn more about their hay. You may drop hay samples off at the Hopkins-Rains Soil & Water Conservation District at 530 N. Hillcrest, Suite 2. In Rains County, you can drop hay samples off at the AgriLife Extension Office at 410 Tawakoni Drive in Emory. A hay show allows agricultural producers to test the quality of their forages and raise scholarship funds for area youth who want to study agriculture.
