Hospital Employee Suspended Over Gun Incident

An employee of Rusk State Hospital has been placed on leave after an incident involving a gun. The  Texas Department of State Health Services said a patient found an unattended handgun in a patient area and notified staff about the weapon, It was properly secured without harm or incident. The gun belonged to a hospital employee.
