Dallas Hospital Shooter Charged With Capital Murder

The 30-year-old man charged with capital murder in the fatal shooting of two healthcare workers at Methodist Hospital in Dallas was on parole. Authorities had permitted him to be at the medical facility for the birth of a child of his significant other. Nestor Hernandez opened fire at the hospital around 11:00 am Saturday and killed two staff members near the labor and delivery area of the hospital. He was then shot and injured by a hospital police officer. It’s unclear what led to the shooting.
