House Fire Claims Powderly Home

A mobile home on CR 34958 just off Hwy 271 in Powderly was totally destroyed by fire Wednesday evening. Lamar County Deputies say everyone got out safely and there were no injuries. The homeowner believes the blaze started in a clothes dryer. The Red Cross is providing assistance to the family.
