Houston’s Cruse Over?

Tuesday, Houston’s port commissioners voted unanimously to authorize the Port Authority to sell the gangway system that led passengers from a berth to luxurious ships bound for vacation goers. Houston spent $108 million on the project that critics claimed was doomed from the start. Money from tourism jobs and hotel stays never materialized and hopes fizzled for good last April as two cruise lines made their final voyages from the Pasadena site.
